Frequently Asked Questions

What are some general guidelines for conduct at a Temple Ritual?
- Please refrain from smoking and turn off your cell phone during Ritual. Even though we are outdoors, this is our Temple’s Sacred Space.
- Show respect for the Goddess by:
- standing when all stand
- no “chit-chat” during Ritual
- Remember that not everyone is “out of the broom closet”. What happens in Ritual stays in Ritual.
- Do not ask personal questions of the participants.
- Show respect for the others attending the Ritual.
- All are invited to place items on the altar.
- All are invited to participate in the drumming sessions.
Can I bring my child(ren) to Ritual?
While children are very welcome at the Goddess Temple services, they need to be closely supervised by their parents. We meet in an outdoor venue, and safety is the number one concern.
If a temple member has to approach a parent more than once about a concern regarding a child's behavior, the parent and child(ren) will have to leave the service. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.
How should I prepare for a Temple Ritual?
- Please dress to honor the Goddess.
- Bear in mind that Rituals are held outdoors, so dress appropriately for the weather.
- Come to Ritual cleansed and prepared to honor the Goddess in Perfect Love and Perfect Trust.
- Please come with an open mind and heart; all are welcome!
Please remember: this is our church and our sacred service to honor the Goddess!
Respectfully,
Kathy Curran
