Meet the Board of Goddess Temple, Inc.
Kathy Curran, President
Merry Meet! Welcome to the Goddess Temple website. I along with the dedicated members of our Goddess Temple serve on a volunteer basis. We have had our Temple for two years now! We continue with our fundraising efforts to obtain a building for the Temple. We hold a spaghetti dinner in November and throughout the year sell products to promote our Temple. Presently we are selling Temple travel mugs and reusable cloth shopping bags. We continually ask for donations of gently used books to sell for the Temple. The Temple holds services for the Sabbats on the Wheel of the Year. We also hold a monthly Full Moon Meditation and potluck at my shop, goddess blessed. My goal is to provide a space for a community to gather safely and worship the Goddess. My name is Kathy Curran and I wear many hats: daughter, sister, wife, mother, friend, self-employed bookstore owner, Priestess of the Goddess, witch, wise womyn, certified herbalist, licensed minister and, last but not least, President of the Board of the Goddess Temple.
My dream is to have an abundance of Goddess Temples all over. I have, along with the help of some very dedicated people, been able to establish a Goddess Temple. We follow a Dianic path, welcoming both women and men to our Temple. Our goal is bring back the spirituality of the Divine Feminine.
Please join us in our journey to honor the Goddess with Her Temple!!
Welcome!!
Linda Kean-Lorman, Vice President
My name is Linda Kean. I am a mom, Reiki Master Teacher, State of Ohio Licensed Minister, Priestess of the Goddess, Nanny, Payroll Clerk, and I am the Vice President of The Goddess Temple. Kathy asked me to help do the paperwork for the not-for-profit status, which we received Dec. 2007! Kathy also asked me to be a part of the board, and I was so tickled when she asked me to be the Vice President. I am thrilled to be working with such a wonderful dedicated group. As a mother of a beautiful teenage girl, I think it is very important, especially in today's world, to show how empowering the Goddess in our lives makes us stronger as a whole society. I want my daughter to grow up knowing that she is strong, beautiful, loving, sweet, and does not have to fit into any molds. I want her to find the many faces of the Goddess within her and use them to help her conquer all the mountains in her life. I think the Goddess can help everyone of us in this way.
I think one thing I would truly like to accomplish being a board member and a part of this important group is to help educate people on what the Goddess path is truly about. I think people who are seeking the Divine Feminine need a place for spiritual worship. A place where the Goddess is respected, loved, and remembered for what She truly is. The Goddess has many names and many faces. She is just, kind, caring, loving, and treats us all as her children. I think we need to have a safe place to honor Her. I think with more education about the true spiritual worship of the Goddess, the more people will begin to respect and understand the importance of our Goddess Temple.
Gini Judd, Secretary
Secretary Gini Judd lives only in states that begin with vowels: she grew up in Oregon, lived for 20 years in Alaska, and moved here to Ohio in 2001. She has followed the Goddess for over a decade. She is about as Taurus as a person can be without actually sprouting horns. She is an attorney specializing primarily in bankruptcy law, because she believes in hearth and home and wants to help people keep theirs. Sometimes she feels a bit like Don Quixote, tilting against the windmills of Countrywide and Citifinancial. Those are the days when she retreats to the meditation room and sprawls under the pyramid for a while.
Steve Reszler, Treasurer
Merry Meet. My name is Steve; some of you may know me as Sangria Steve. I have lived in the Cleveland area all my life. I grew up in Lakewood during my younger years and have since returned 8 years ago. I have always been spiritual in my own way and up until a several years ago I had no idea others were practicing what I felt in my heart but couldn't put to words. I am so grateful to the Goddess for leading me to such a wonderful group of like-minded people. People who I consider my second family.
I am a practicing Wiccan priest and an ordained minister through ULC. I am also a Usui trained Reiki Master Teacher and have been practicing and teaching at Goddess Blessed for nearly 4 years. I have been involved with the Goddess Temple since its inception and am honored to be named its Treasurer. I returned to school last year to get my nursing degree so that I can earn my RN license. So I have, unfortunately, not been as available as I would like to be. But you will still see me at Temple services with my trusty drum. And in another year I will be done with school and hopefully able to attend more things. I look forward to continuing to assist the further growth of the Goddess Temple and helping to achieve its mission statement.
Sheila Santiago, Board Member at Large
Merry Meet!
I am the store's Resident Artist, and I have been the featured artist in Lakewood's Madison Art Walk here at the store as well. While art is my passion I have found over the years a need and a talent for healing through alternative methods. Reiki is a widely accepted form of healing therapy and I am proud to be a part of this ancient and beautiful tradition.
I am a certified Reiki Master and a state of Ohio Licensed Minister. I received my Master attunements by Steve Reszler in 2008.
I also read Tarot and participate in the store's monthly Drum Circle.
Last but not least, I am also a Board member of our growing Goddess Temple; I am proud to be a member, hoping and doing what I can to one day have a temple to call home!
Tammy Hess, Board Member at Large
Merry Meet, my name is Tammy Hess and I am the newly appointed Board Member at Large. I was born and raised in Cleveland and as a day job work at an HMO for more than 21 years. I have proudly come out of the broom closet after practicing solitary for years. My spiritual journey led me to the Goddess Temple where I openly honor the Goddess and have had the privilege meet and become friends with like minded individuals. I am a Reiki Master, a Yeun Method of Chinese Energetics Student and licensed minister. I hope to meet you soon. Blessed Be.
